Purpose:
The Parish Pastoral Council, working as a consultative group to the Pastor, shall concern itself with fulfilling the spirit of our Mission Statement. It shall be a visionary body within the parish which serves the parish by discerning needs, setting goals, naming commissions, proposing programs and evaluating their effectiveness, always striving to enhance parish life and furthers the spiritual growth. The Pastoral Council shall seek to be a unifying body within the parish, serving as a channel of communication between the diverse commissioners, organizations, parish members and parish leaders.

Activities:
All members are expected to attend scheduled meetings and actively participate in council undertakings.

Membership:
The Parish Council consists of from 15 to 20 members.

  • One to two members of parish staff appointed by Pastor.
  • Ten to Twelve parish member selected by lot.
  • Three to five parish members selected by Pastor.
  • Pastor is a member.
Meetings:
Meetings held August through June on the first Thursday of the month from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
