   Just as a reminder: High School classes begin Wednesday, September 16th at 6 p.m. The topic for our first evening together is: The Real Presence of Jesus. Come and find out how Jesus makes His presence known to us in many different ways.

This year our High School Youth are invited to attend the Fall retreat at Christ the King Parish in Ann Arbor. The name of the retreat is “Ree(a)l Life” and helps our teens to live in Reel life… I mean Real life. There are many things we take for granted-what does it mean that God loves us? The Retreat will begin on Friday evening, October 2 and will end on Sunday, October 4 at 2:30 p.m. Interested High School teens interested in attending  need to contact Text Box: me as soon as possible.  Road Trip

We R.O.C.K. (Rely on Christ the King) is the theme for this year’s High School Jamboree to take place on Sunday, November 1, 2009. The Jamboree is presented by the Diocese of Lansing and is a whole day of spiritual enrichment for your teen. We will be car pooling Text Box: High School Youth (Grades 9-12)

Text Box: We are still in need of 3 classroom helper volunteers to help out in the middle school program. No teaching qualifications are needed just of love of kids. We would be happy to work with you on fulfilling the diocesan requirement of Protecting God’s Children. Please contact me if you are interested. CONFIRMATION This year, we will be confirming children in 8th grade and older who Text Box: desire and are prepared to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Preparation for the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation will take place in addition to 8th grade classes and will be conducted on 8 Saturdays throughout the year starting in October.  A schedule will be mailed home as well as a registration form to all interested families  in September.  Attendance to Prep sessions is necessary in order to be deem ready to receive the Sacrament. Please contact the office if your child is not in the 8th grade and would like to receive the sacrament. 
Text Box: Parents: If you have not yet filled out your registration forms, please do so as soon as possible. We would be grateful to receive them prior to the starting of classes.  You may bring them with you and turn them in after the 10 a.m. Youth Mass. More registration forms will be available that day if you have misplaced yours.

Attention all Catechists! 
    Please be prepared to come and join me in the Baptistery immediately following the closing Blessing at the September 13th Youth mass. That way we will be ready to meet our parish families and greet our students as they leave mass.

Text Box:         Welcome Back: Youth Mass, September 13th 10 a.m.
This year our September 13th Youth Mass will be the kick-off for our  families with school age children for an exciting and fresh new year. We will be welcoming back our children and inviting them to stop by the Baptistery on their way out to meet their catechist and pick up schedules and information pertaining to our school year. I will be on hand to answer any questions concerning this years programs. I look forward to seeing everyone and having a wonderful Year!

  Faith First

Our Faith First classes for grades 1-5, will begin Wednesday, September 16th at 4:15 p.m. in the church. We welcome all families to join us as we bless our textbooks and our children prepare to embark on a new year. Parents: please be prepared to pick up your child promptly at 5:30 p.m. along the sidewalk below FWH. This is for the safety of our children.

     Our Family Program for Grade school children will begin, Tuesday, September 15th and is open to all parish families. An adult guardian must  accompany their child to each session.
